Pudge fan Drew Hayden,
12 years old, of Carlsbad New Mexico,
has been chosen to compete with the
Coast to Coast Amateur Baseball Stars
in Puerto from March 30th through
April 5th. This is an opportunity
for US kids to play other tough teams
from around the world.
Drew was the only
player from New Mexico selected in
a nationwide try out and is more excited
about playing on the same fields as
Pudge once played on in his youth.
Drew suffered two broken arms after
a four-wheeler accident last May,
but managed to make a comeback in
spite of the accident.
Drew has a
long-term goal of earning a scholarship
in baseball someday and by the way
things are going for him at this point,
that seems possible. Good luck Drew
and we will be cheering for you and
our US team.
